The Park Avenue Bank announces that Sam Williams, market president for Appling and Jeff Davis counties, was appointed as market president for the Statesboro market as well.

Williams will relocate to Bulloch County and operate out of the main branch in Statesboro.

Williams joined Park Avenue Bank as market president in 2006. He graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Business, with Majors in Finance and Marketing from Georgia Southern University.

He later attended and graduated from the Georgia Bankers Association Banking School at the University of Georgia as well as the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.  He has 13 years of experience in the banking industry where he has held officer positions in the Loan, Security, Compliance, and IT departments.

“We are very thrilled for Williams as well as for Park Avenue Bank as he expands his new presidential duties,” stated Dave Gould, regional president for the South Georgia and Florida markets.  “We are looking forward to Williams being able to establish new business relationships that contribute to the economic development of Bulloch County.”

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to bring my wife to Statesboro,” Williams said.  “As a graduate of Georgia Southern University, it gives me the feeling of returning home.  I am looking forward to being able to assist the businesses of Statesboro, as well as continuing to assist those of Baxley and Hazlehurst.”

The Park Avenue Bank operates 20 branch offices and three loan production offices in 15 counties in Georgia and Florida.
