Probably the most anticipated restaurant construction in town is the new Zaxby's at the corner of Chandler Road and Georgia Avenue adjacent to the Georgia Southern campus. It is a homecoming of sorts, being constructed a couple of hundred yards from where it all began. The original Zaxby's began right here in Statesboro in the parking lot on the other side of Henry's Barber Shop from where the new restaurant is located.
