Franklin Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC held the official grand opening celebration of its new showroom on Northside Drive last Thursday. The state-of-the-art dealership features a more open floor plan creating more space in the showroom, a large customer lounge including free Wi-Fi, media stations and a children's play area.
"This is the most comprehensive image enhancement we've made in our 73 years in business," said Robbie Franklin, owner of Franklin Automotive Group. "Dan Cook, our vice president has done a remarkable job making sure the construction and transition into this new building has gone smoothly. He understands the importance of having the new facility focus on our customers and their overall car buying experience. We're incredibly pleased with the results and are proud to see not only that our customers are excited about the improvements, but that our staff is too. It's a really exciting time for us."
In 1940, Franklin Chevrolet (then, Marsh Chevrolet Company) was taken over by Lehman Franklin, Sr.
Lehman's son, Robbie Franklin, joined the business in 1964 and continued to grow the business, adding franchises for Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Buick and GMC. In early 2012, Lehman Franklin III joined Franklin Chevrolet as general sales manager and is the third generation of the Franklin family to work at the dealership.
