Gary F. Sullivan, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., F.A.C.S., was a featured speaker at the Global Congress of Minimally Invasive Gynecologists on Nov. 7 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.
Dr. Sullivan is a gynecological surgeon with Statesboro OB/Gyn Specialists and the executive director of The Women’s Surgery Center.
Dr. Sullivan presented his data demonstrating that the laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy can be safely performed in an outpatient facility with a recovery time of two hours and 15 minutes. Thomas Lyons, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., an Atlanta surgeon who pioneered this technique, also was a featured speaker.
