Receiving the 2007 Bulloch County Lodging Employee of the Year award was Lou Stewart, the Executive Housekeeper of Comfort Inn and Suites.  Starting in the Bulloch County hospitality industry over 20 years ago, she has worked at several different properties, and was eventually promoted to executive housekeeper.  Ms. Stewart has been at the Comfort Inn for four years.  “Ms. Lou’s pride, and her loyalty and dedication to her job has helped rank the Comfort Inn in the USA top 10% of the brand,” said Jaime Riggs, executive director of the SCVB.

Also receiving an award was, Bulloch County native, Randy Nessmith, a founding father of the SCVB and owner of RJ’s Steakery.  “After 25 successful years, he must be doing something right,” Riggs said of Nessmith.

He was presented the prestigious 2007 Sylvia Brown Tourism Champion award for his constant dedication and devotion as a Statesboro ambassador to the hospitality and tourism industry.
