AgSouth marketing director Christy Smith announced that the association has hired Heather Brannen as a marketing specialist for the cooperative. Heather will be based out of the Statesboro office and will serve counties in southeast Georgia, as well as counties in South Carolina from the Lowcountry to the Midlands.
Brannen and her family live and farm in Bulloch County. Her husband, Ryne, and his family grow row crops and raise cattle and poultry. Prior to coming to AgSouth, she was an agriculture teacher in Metter. She has also worked for the UGA Extension Service.
"Having Heather's expertise in agriculture will be a great benefit to our marketing efforts throughout the communities we serve," Smith said. "We're very lucky to have her on our team."
