Poker run gives a helping hand to cancer stricken Bennie Rushing

The Southern Thunder Cruiser, In Country Vets of Effingham County motorcycle clubs gathered with other motorcycle clubs and enthusiasts at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds Saturday for a Poker Run to benefit Bennie Rushing. The event, sponsored by the Cruisers, raised more than $5,000 to benefit Rushing, a retired Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputy who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer.
