Bulloch County sheriff's deputies arrested a 17-year-old male Tuesday after an investigation revealed that he is responsible for the pregnancy of an 11-year-old girl, authorities said.

Sheriff's investigators met with the victim Aril 26 after receiving a call from East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said.

"Subsequent investigation indicated that the pregnancy was the result of incidents which had occurred in Bulloch County within the first six months of the year," Anderson said. "Interviews revealed that Brandon Lamar Golden ... was the father of the child."

The relationship between the victim and Golden is not being released at this time to protect the victim's identity, Anderson said.

Golden, 17, of Packinghouse Road, is charged with child molestation, statutory rape and enticing a child for indecent purposes. He is currently housed at the Bulloch County Jail pending a bond hearing, Anderson said.
