No injuries were reported Tuesday after a Bulloch County school bus ran into a ditch.

There were eight children on the bus when it ran off the road on Bernard Smith Road near the Mallard Pond Road area, according to reports overheard on police radio around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Bulloch County Schools marketing director Hayley Greene confirmed there were no injuries reported on the William James Middle School bus route. No other vehicles were involved, she said.

Georgia State Patrol and Bulloch County sheriff's deputies responded, as well as Bulloch County Schools Transportation Supervisor Janet Tanner, Greene said.

Troopers and deputies at the scene reported that students were reloaded onto another bus to be taken home.
