The Hon. William Josiah Neville will speak Monday at the Fourth Annual Memorial Day observance held at 11 a.m. in the Emma Kelly Theater at the Averitt Center for  the Arts.

The service is co-sponsored by the American Legion Dexter Allen Post 90, the Bulloch County Historical Society and the Averitt Center for the Arts, said Connie Hayes, assistant director for the center.

Neville, a veteran, is also a member of the American Legion Dexter Allen Post 90.

Post 90 Senior Vice Commander Dan Foglio will preside over the service.

Entertainment will be provided by Russ Lanier, Foglio said. Intoners (who call the names of Bulloch County's fallen veterans) are Janie Staggs (WWI), Burton Higgins (WWII, Pacific and European Theater), Cliff Holt, Korea; and Joe Bill Brannon, Vietnam.

Nicholas Flott is slated to sing the national anthem, he said.

The progam is free and open to the public, Hayes said.

Lanier will perform patriotic music from 10:30 to 11 a.m. as citizens arrive and are seated. The memorial service will begin at 11 a.m.

The Averitt Center for the Arts provides the use of  the Emma Kelly Theater, as well as services of staff members, each year for the Memorial Day observance, as a public service to the Bulloch County community, Hayes said.
