Statesboro Police Det. Terry Briley said Patricia Annette Clark, 37, Mikell Street, met the 15-year-old female online through a chat room.
According to police incident reports, Clark allowed the girl to stay at her home on Mikell Street after the juvenile ran away from home. Clark gave the teen alcohol and fondled her private areas, reports said.
Briley said Clark did not call police when the runaway teen arrived at her home, but instead took her in and allowed her to stay.
The girl remained with Clark for several days before law enforcement officials located her and turned her over to her parents, he said.
Clark, who is being held in  the Bulloch County Jail without bond, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, enticing a child for indecent purposes, child molestation, sexual battery, and parole violation.
Clark was convicted in Bulloch County of aggravated assault regarding a May 1997 incident, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She served from June 1997 to April 2002 before being released from the Savannah Women's Transition Center, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections Internet web site www.dcor.state.ga.us.
Clark was also convicted of aggravated assault regarding a June, 1989 incident in Bulloch County, according to the web site.
