Atlanta law office elects Sylvania man as new partner

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton law firm announced the recent election of four new members of its Atlanta office to its partnership effective, Jan. 1, including Sylvania native David Reed. 

Reed is from Sylvania, GA and is a graduate of Screven County High School, Georgia Tech, and the University of Virginia law school. 

After high school, he won the Statesboro Area Georgia Tech scholarship.

Reed is the son of Charles Reed and the late Susan M. Reed of Sylvania.  He, his wife Sara, and their two daughters Annie and Elizabeth now reside in Atlanta.

Reed is a member of the firm’s Patent Litigation Team. 

His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling, with particular emphasis on patent post-grant proceedings and appeals in the Federal Circuit. 

He has handled all phases of patent litigation, including trial, in cases involving a variety of technologies such as computer hardware and software, pharmaceuticals, and industrial products. 

Also, Reed advises clients on patent risk management and has substantial prosecution experience.
