Laughter could be heard outside the doors of Statesboro Regional Library's Community Room as beloved book character Amelia Bedelia shared antics from her many adventures Saturday. Children jumped at opportunities to help Amelia Bedelia demonstrate her many experiences that often ended with her losing her job. Statesboro native Amy Smith Beaucham (Amelia Bedelia) engaged children and adults alike with her many stories and wild gestures. Libba Beaucham served as narrator for the mid-morning event. The show, "Amelia Bedelia, This is Your Life!", was held as part of Children's Book Week.
