Mr. and Mrs. Arnold M. Wilhoite of Statesboro, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Donna Jean of Statesboro, to Jeffrey Dale Laws of Greenville, S.C., son of Mr. and Mrs. Olin Dale Laws.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Colonel (Ret.) and Mrs. Benjamin Ray Battle of Dublin, Ga., the late Mr. and Mrs. Bertis Arnold Wilhoite and the late Donald Roy Jarvis. DJ is a 2006 honor graduate of Statesboro High School and graduated, cum laude, from Clemson University in 2010, with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Sports Management. She is currently working on her Master's degree in Sports Management at Georgia Southern University. She is a certified equipment manager and is employed by Georgia Southern University as administrative specialist for Catering.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Olin D. Laws of Greenville and Mrs. Lois Barton of Greenville, and the late Joseph Earl Barton Jr. Jeffrey is a 2004 graduate of Berea High School in Greenville and graduated with honors from Clemson University in 2008, with a degree in Sports Management. He completed his Master's degree in Human Resources from Clemson University in 2010. He is currently employed by Georgia Southern University as human resources coordinator in Organization Development and Learning.
    The couple plans to wed on April 20, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Statesboro. The reception will follow at The Belle House.
