Sara Abbigail Tompkins and Clayton Keith Barker

    David and Reneau Tompkins of Statesboro are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Abbigail "Abbi" Tompkins, to Clayton Keith Barker of Suwanee, Georgia.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mozelle Blankenship and the late Lewis Carroll Blankenship and the late Rev. and Mrs. W.F. Tompkins, all of Statesboro. Abbi is a 2006 Statesboro Homeschool graduate and has attended Ogeechee Technical College. She is currently employed as a counselor with the Statesboro-Bulloch County Recreation Department in the After School Programs.
    The future groom is the son of Tommy and Sue Barker of Vidalia and is the grandson of Lewis and May Powell of Lyons and Mildred Barker and the late H.D. Barker of Vidalia. Clay graduated from Vidalia High School and from Ogeechee Technical College. He is employed with LifeLink of Georgia in Norcross, Georgia.
    After meeting at Ogeechee Technical College and dating for nearly two years, the couple is looking forward to spending their lives together and invite all friends and relatives to join in their joy and love at their wedding and reception on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 298E Northside Drive, Statesboro, Ga.
