Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Stroud of Augusta announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Stroud of Augusta, to Matthew Dickens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Dickens.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stroud and Mr. and Mrs. Hazel Griggs. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Georgia.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wayne Akins and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Woodard and Mr. Thomas Dickens. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Georgia.
    The couple has planned to wed on June 18, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Augusta.
