Mr. and Mrs. Jappy Stringer of Statesboro, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Melissa of Statesboro, to Robert Christopher Page, son of Mr. Lee Page and Mrs. Holly Page, both of Swainsboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Stringer and the late Bobby Stringer and Margaret Woods and the late Shelton Waters, all of Bulloch County. Katie graduated from Statesboro High School in 2004 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation, with an emphasis in Tourism and Community Leisure from Georgia Southern University in 2008. She is currently employed at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Statesboro as the Public Relations and Marketing assistant.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Robert Lee “Froggy” and Eudell Page of Swainsboro and Holland Hairr of Wrens, Ga., and Virginia Hairr of Wadley, Ga. Chris graduated from David Emanuel Academy in 2004 and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management, with a minor in Finance from Georgia Southern University in 2009. He is currently employed at Portal Financial Services as their loan manager.
    The couple has planned to wed on Saturday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m. at Beaver Creek Plantation in Twin City, Ga.
