Mr. and Mrs. David Keith Stone of Claxton announce the engagement of their daughter, Britani Nicole Stone, to Luke Andrew Thompson, son of Ms. Trudy Thompson of Claxton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alice Cooper Waters and the late Mr. James Oscar Waters of Claxton and Mr. and Mrs. David Shuman Stone of Portal. Miss Stone is a 2013 graduate of Claxton High School. She is currently enrolled at Georgia Southern University, where she will graduate with her bachelor's degree in early childhood education in May 2018.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Rommie Thompson of Bellville. Mr. Thompson is a 2012 graduate of Claxton High School. He is currently employed by RJ&G Farms, where he works alongside his granddaddy on the family farm.

The wedding will be August 6th at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church in Claxton.

A reception will follow the ceremony.
