Mr. Brett McCorkle and Ms. Susan McCorkle of Hinesville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Suzanne Sittle, to Jason Robert Franklin, son of Robert and Connie Franklin of Metter.
    Jessica is the granddaughter of Billy and Louise Poole of Vidalia, formerly of Hinesville, the late Rick and Margaret Sittle of Ludowici, and the late Thomas and Teria McCorkle of Hinesville. Jessica was raised in Hinesville and graduated from Bradwell Institute in 2004. She then attended Georgia Southern University and received a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology in 2009. Jessica is currently employed by Candler County Hospital as a medical coder.
    Jason is the grandson of the late Ben and Hortense Franklin of Metter and the late E.G. and Blanche Hendrix, also of Metter. He was raised in Metter and graduated from Metter High School in 1996. He later attended Georgia Southern University and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics in 2000. Jason is currently employed by TransAmerica Life Insurance Company and is also a local farmer in the Excelsior Community.
    Their wedding will take place on October 11, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. at the home of the groom's parents in Excelsior, with the reception to follow.
