Winford L. Grant and Sondra Mercer-Roberts are pleased to announce their engagement.
    Winford is the son of Freddie W. and the late Alice DeLoach Grant of Statesboro. Mr. Grant is the grandson of the late Walter Henry and Cora Lee Grant Williams and the late William Bud and Victoria Gilmore DeLoach. He is a 1980 graduate of Statesboro High School and is currently employed with Brodie International.
    Sondra is the daughter of the late Harvey and Sadie Mae Perkins Mercer. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Ira and Melrose Perkins Rawls and the late Fred and Beatrice Mercer. Sondra is a 1986 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and a 2012 honor graduate of Ogeechee Technical College's nursing assistant program. She is currently enrolled in the early childhood education program.
    The couple has planned to wed on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the Chapel at Snella's.
