The family of Sylvia M. Rice announces her engagement and upcoming wedding to Mr. Norman Doss.
    The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Grover C. and Martha Rice. She is a 1984 graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2003 graduate of Ogeechee Technical Institute, where she received a Registered Nursing degree. She is employed as an RN in Albany, Georgia.
    The groom-elect is the son of the late J.D. and Gertrude Doss of Fayette, Mississippi. He is a graduate of Jefferson County High School in Fayette, Miss., and is employed with Brittian Trucking, Inc. in Albany, Ga.
    The wedding will be held on May 22, 2010, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 210 Bulloch Street, Statesboro, GA 30458, at 4 p.m. A reception will follow at the Holiday Inn Express Ball Room, 455 Commerce Drive, Statesboro, GA 30458.
    The couple will honeymoon in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will reside in Albany, Ga.
