    Mr. and Mrs. Dimitrios Rementelas of Varda, Ilias, Greece, announce the engagement of their daughter, Evgenia "Nia" Rementelas of Varda, Ilias, Greece, to Thomas Brantley Burns, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Burns.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nickolaos Rementelas of Varda, Ilias, Greece, and Mr. and the late Mrs. Robbie Robertson of Winchester, Virginia. Nia graduated in 2012 from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, where she met Mr. Burns, with her MFA in ceramics. Miss Rementelas is now living in Statesboro and is employed by Georgia Southern University.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. Alonza L. Burns of Kildare, Georgia, and Mrs. Maude Burns of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. Whitener of Brunswick. He graduated in 2012 from Hood College in Frederick with his MFA in ceramics and is now employed at State Farm as an insurance agent. He also works part-time at the Averitt Center for the Arts, teaching ceramics classes.
    The couple is planning to wed on October 3, 2015, at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church in Savannah.
