Mr. and Mrs. Gary Robert Nelson of Lake Martin, Alabama, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katelyn Denise Nelson of Birmingham, Alabama, to Gabriel Inman Lee of Atlanta, Georgia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Lee III of the Bay District Community in Bulloch County, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Pearl Neese and the late Mr. Homer Neese of Alexander City, Ala., and Mrs. Lois Nelson and the late Mr. Robert Nelson of Alexander City, Ala. Kate is a 2005 graduate of Benjamin Russell High School and is a 2010 graduate of Auburn University-Montgomery, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was affiliated with the Gamma Rho Chapter of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She is employed in Birmingham by Brookwood Medical Center as a surgical ICU nurse.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Jessie Buie and the late Mr. William Ernest Buie of Nevils, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Lee Jr. of Stilson, Ga. Gabe is a 2004 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and is a 2010 graduate of Auburn University, with a Bachelor's of Electrical Engineering degree. He was affiliated with the Gamma Sigma Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is presently employed in Atlanta at Connectivity Wireless Solutions as an associate project engineer.
    The couple has planned to wed on June 25, 2011, at 5 p.m. at Children's Harbor Chapel in Lake Martin, Ala.
