Mr. and Mrs. James J. McCall of Statesboro, Ga., proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa McCall, to David Hendrix, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland R. Hendrix of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Statesboro High School. Melissa graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology, and she will graduate in July with a Master of Education in counselor education, both from Georgia Southern University.
    The groom-elect is a 2003 graduate of Statesboro High School. David graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering technology from Georgia Southern University. He currently is employed with the City of Statesboro as an assistant city engineer.
    The couple has planned to wed on May 3, 2014, at 5 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church.
