Mr. and Mrs. Ron Link of Portal, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Renee Link of Portal, to Joshua Caleb Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Manford Gilbert of Hazlehurst, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Collins of Statesboro and Mrs. Evelyn Link and the late Ronald Link of Houston, Texas, and is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Erma Collins and the late Ben Grady Collins of Statesboro and the late Otis and Mary King of Metter. Heather is a 2005 graduate of Bible Baptist Christian Academy and is a 2009 graduate of BCWE in Alpharetta, Ga., with a Bachelor's degree in Bible. She is employed with MIT Holdings.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Ida Mae Jenkins and the late Thomas Jenkins of Hazlehurst, Ga. Caleb is a 2004 graduate of Bible Baptist Christian Academy. He is employed with ServPro of Statesboro.
    The couple has planned to wed on July 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Bible Baptist Church.
