Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jones of Dahlonega, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Marie Jones, to Scott Lindsey Mikell, son of Judge and Mrs. Gary Mikell.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Helen Burt and the late Dean Burt and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jones Jr. Chelsea graduated from Lumpkin County High School in 2006 and from the University of Georgia in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Felton Mikell and the late Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Kim. Scott graduated from Statesboro High School in 2006 and from Georgia Southern University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in biology.
    Both Chelsea and Scott will graduate from medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in May 2014 with a Doctor of Medicine. They will begin medical residency programs this summer.
    The couple is planning to wed on April 5, 2014, in Dahlonega.
