Lisa Lanier Hagan and John Terrell Sisson

    Mr. and Mrs. Daniel C. Hagan of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Lanier Hagan of Athens, Ga., to John Terrell Sisson of Washington, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. Mickey G. Sisson of Washington.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Pease Sr. of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. T.L. Hagan Sr. of Statesboro. She is a 2002 honor graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Child and Family Development. Lisa is an alumna of the Gamma Alpha chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta fraternity. She is also a graduate of Walden University with a Master of Science in Reading and Literacy Instruction. She is employed with the Barrow County School System as a fifth-grade teacher.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Ray of Raytown, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. John Lloyd Sisson of Washington. He is a 2002 graduate of Washington-Wilkes High School and a 2004 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with an A.A.S. in Forestry. He is currently employed as a registered forester and the owner of Southern Forest Management, LLC in Washington.
    The couple has planned to wed on June 8, 2013, at
2 p.m. at TMT Farms, Church in the Wildwood, Statesboro, Ga.
