Mr. and Mrs. Lynn and Glenda Haddock of Hilliard, Fla., are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Valerie Haddock, to Elton Binion “Bin” Turner Jr. of Swainsboro. The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Binion Turner of Twin City.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gladys Cheramie of Golden Meadow, La., and Sidney and Margaret Haddock of Hoboken. Miss Haddock is a graduate of Hilliard High School. She is currently employed with Greystar Management Services, Inc., in Jacksonville, Fla.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Turner. Mr. Turner is a 1998 graduate of Swainsboro High School and a graduate of Albany State. He is currently employed with McIntosh County Academy in Darien as a coach and special education teacher.
    The wedding is planned for July 20, 2013, at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Swainsboro.
    A reception will follow at the Yeomans Barn.
