Mr. and Mrs. Mike Ellis of Statesboro, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Ellis of Statesboro, to Stephen Porter, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Porter Jr. of Sylvester, Ga., and Memphis, Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Denver Mixon and Betty Ellis and the late Ben "Jimbo" Ellis. Jessica is a 2002 graduate of Statesboro High School and achieved her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education at Ogeechee Technical College. She is a local photographer and currently works at Ellis Travel Trailers, Inc.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Porter Sr. of Pooler, Ga. He received a BS in Information Technology from Georgia Southern University and is employed as assistant director of Technology for the Worth County Board of Education.
    The couple has planned to wed on September 18th, 2010, at 6 p.m. at Meinhardt Vineyards.
