Mr. Kenny and Mrs. Sheila Drew of Black Creek, Georgia, and Mr. Robert and Mrs. Frances Vassallo of Stilson, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Catina Maria Drew of Statesboro, Ga., to Eric Daniel Thompson, son of Mr. Bobby Dan and Mrs. Janie Thompson of Statesboro and Mr. Ken and Mrs. Kim Brown of Sylvania, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Millard and Mrs. Theresa Herb and the late Mrs. Norma and Mr. Dan Drew. Catina is a full-time student of Georgia Southern University, pursuing a degree in Child and Family Development.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mrs. Sue H. Hall and Mr. Leonard Hall and the late Mr. Bobby Thompson and Mrs. Sara Thompson. Eric is currently employed in the family farming operation in the Leefield, Ga., area.
    The wedding will be held October 13, 2012, at 5 p.m. in Leefield.
