Lavern and Christine Deal will celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Friday, July 8th, with a dinner at R.J.'s. The Deals married in 1951, while Lavern was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne, stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C. They have one daughter and son-in-law, Debora and Andy Parrish; and one grandson, 1st Lt. Royce A. Parrish, USMC. The Deals enjoy gardening, fishing and bluegrass music.
