Whitney Lynn Cartee and Brett Chandler Perrin were united in marriage on Saturday, the 16th of February 2013, during a 4 p.m. ceremony on the beach of Tybee Island. The ceremony was officiated by Geoffrey Albert.
    The bride is the daughter of Hal Cartee and Karen Cartee, both of Statesboro. She is the maternal granddaughter of the late Jobie and Rita Graham of Portal and the paternal granddaughter of Marie Cartee Williams and the late Kermit “Gene” Cartee of Statesboro. She is a 2007 graduate of Statesboro High School and is a 2011 graduate of Georgia Southern University, with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is employed by Evans County Board of Education in Claxton.
    The groom is the son of Chad and Wendy Perrin of Panama City, Fla., and Jan Allen of Praire du Chien, Wis. He is the maternal grandson of Levera Allen and the late James H. Allen of Valdosta, Ga., and the paternal grandson of Chuck and Sandy Nash of Valdosta. He is a 2007 graduate of Suwannee High School and is employed by H.A. Sack Co. in Statesboro.
    The couple now resides in Statesboro.
