Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Miller Byrd of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Bright Byrd of Atlanta, Georgia, to Bryan Welch Barton, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Barton of Statesboro.

Elizabeth graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is the owner of Cornucopia by Elizabeth Byrd LLC.

The groom-elect graduated from Georgia Southern University and is employed with State Bank and Trust Company in Atlanta.

The couple is planning to wed on May 26, 2018, at 6 p.m. in Winston-Salem.
