Dr. Linda Mammoser and Mr. Carl Jackson "Sonny" Brownlee Jr. of Tucker, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Rose Brownlee, to John Dennis "JD" Dempsey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Dempsey of Millen, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nan Chewning Brownlee and the late Carl Jackson Brownlee of Tucker, Ga., and James Lee Mammoser and the late Mary Brown Mammoser of Dunwoody, Ga. Shannon graduated from St. Pius X Catholic High School in 2007 and attended Georgia Southern University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in May 2011 and a Master of Accounting in December 2012 from Georgia Southern University. She is employed as a staff accountant by Dabbs, Hickman, Hill & Cannon, LLP, at the Savannah office.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Elizabeth Coats Lanier and the late Hardy Marvin Lanier of Millen, Ga., and the late John and Kathryn Kirk Dempsey of Memphis, Tenn. JD is a 2007 graduate of Bulloch Academy and attended Georgia Southern University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2012 from GSU and is currently employed by BB&T in Savannah, Ga.
    Shannon and JD are planning a destination wedding for May 11, 2013, in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
