Mr. and Mrs. Keith Boyett of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Candice Elise Boyett, to William Everette Slade, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Slade of Alpharetta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edra Wrye and the late John Edward Wrye of Macon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kermit Boyett of Metter. Candice is a 2011 graduate of Bulloch Academy and received a BS in early childhood education in 2015 from the University of Georgia. She is employed as a fourth grade teacher with DeKalb County Schools.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Everette Moore of Jacksonville, Alabama, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Slade of Hawkinsville, Georgia. Will is a 2010 graduate of South Forsyth High School and received a BA in international affairs in 2014 from the University of Georgia. He is a member of the Alpha Mu chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is currently employed as an account manager with the Hub Group in Atlanta.

The couple is planning to wed on June 30, 2018, at the Statesboro First Baptist Church.
