Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Bennett of Brooklet, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Michelle Bennett of Brooklet, to Robert Stephens Blair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Stephens Blair of Jefferson, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Akins and Mrs. Martha Bennett and the late Mr. Norwood Bennett. A 2007 honor graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School, she received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Georgia Southern University in 2010 and is currently working on her Master's of Education at GSU.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Nancy Roark Owens and the late Mr. Charles Williams Owens and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Winfred Blair Sr. A 2006 honor graduate of Jefferson High School, he received a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University in 2010 and is employed as an associate financial representative with Northwest Mutual.
    The couple has planned to wed on July 2, 2011, at 5 p.m. at the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church, with the reception to follow at The Belle House.
