Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ball of Statesboro are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Candler Ball, to Adam Wesley Groover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Anthony Groover of Statesboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jean Hendrix and the late Mr. George L. Hendrix of Statesboro and Mrs. Catherine Warren Dukehart and the late Mr. Lamar Q. Ball, both of Atlanta. She is a 2009 graduate of Bulloch Academy. She earned a Bachelor of Science in general studies from Georgia Southern University in 2014 and is currently pursuing a Master of Education in instructional technology. She is a member of the Kappa Mu chapter of Phi Mu Sorority. She is currently employed with Ogeechee Technical College.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton F. Bowen of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bruce E. Groover of Statesboro. He is a 2006 graduate of Statesboro High School. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in logistics and marketing with a minor in finance from Georgia Southern University in 2011. He is a member of the Eta Zeta chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is currently employed as a buyer for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Pooler, Ga.

The couple plans to wed on October 8, 2016, at Beaver Creek Plantation, and they will reside in Statesboro.
