Mr. and Mrs. Osey Fail Jr. of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Lynn "Katie" Alberson of Statesboro, to Royce Dwayne Cartee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dannie Cartee of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Mrs. Lynn Alberson Fail. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Alberson of Cobbtown and the late Mr. and Mrs. Osey Fail Sr. of Statesboro. Katie is a 2005 graduate of Statesboro High School and is a 2008 graduate of Ogeechee Technical College, with a degree in Nursing. She is currently pursuing a degree in Special Education and will be transferring from East Georgia College to the University of Georgia in the Spring. She is currently employed at Metter Elementary School in Metter, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Juanita Kinard of Portal and Mrs. Annie Ruth Cartee of Portal and the late Mr. Billy Kinard and the late Mr. George Cartee and Eloise Cartee of Portal. He is a 2000 graduate of Portal High School and is currently employed at D & S Electric in Metter.
    The couple has planned to wed on November 3rd, 2012, at 5 p.m. at Beaver Creek Plantation in Twin City, Ga.
