Ms. Linda Carter of Nashville, Tenn., announces the engagement of her daughter, Gladness Adkins of Atlanta, Ga., to Phillip Groover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Groover.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Francis and Olive Ann Groover.
    The couple has planned to wed on April 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Old Fellowship Baptist Church in Brooklet.
