Mrs. Sarah Adams of Claxton, Georgia, announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Teresa Adams of Claxton, to Claude Z. Byrd, son of Mrs. Mary Lou Byrd and the late Mr. Lee Edward Byrd.
    The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Mr. Clinton Adams. She is the granddaughter of the late Aurelia and Alex Byrd of Bulloch County and the late Icye and Charlie Adams of Greenville, Alabama. Ms. Adams is a 1979 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and has been employed with Viracon for seven years.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Clyde and Deronnie Harley of Metter and the late Keylia and Henela Byrd. A 1982 graduate of Metter High School, he is a licensed carpenter and has been employed with Wal-Mart Distribution Center #6061 for 10 years.
    The couple has planned to wed on Saturday, May 7th, at 3 p.m. at the Sams Creek Baptist Church in Metter.
