CSM (Retired) and Mrs. Carl T. Smith of Midway, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald L. Willson of Suwannee, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Louise Willson of Chattanooga, Tenn., to Jarrett Michael Thacker, also of Chattanooga. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Michael Thacker of Ringgold, Ga.
The bride-elect graduated from Statesboro High School in 1995 and from Georgia Tech in 2001 with a BS in science, technology and culture. Ms. Willson is employed as a business writer for BCD Travel in Atlanta.
The groom-elect graduated from The McCallie School in Chattanooga in 1995 and from Georgia Tech in 2001 with a BS in computer engineering. Mr. Thacker is employed as the operations manager for Cutting Corners, Inc. in Dalton, Ga.
The couple is planning a November wedding in Chattanooga.
