Drs. Susan and Douglass Thomson announce the engagement of their daughter, Caitlin Bachler Thomson, to Benjamin Hunter Ginn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jere Ginn of Statesboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Nichols of Buffalo, N.Y., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Thomson Jr. of Paoli, Pa. Miss Thomson received her BSN degree from Queens University of Charlotte, where she was a member of the Janusian Order honor society and Chi Omega sorority. She is employed as a registered nurse by Novant Healthcare Systems in Charlotte, N.C.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Louise Coleman and the late L. Gene Coleman and Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Ginn of Statesboro. Mr. Ginn is an alumnus of Georgia Southern University, where he was a member of Sigma Tau Beta honor society. He earned his MA in English from Wake Forest University and the MLIS from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. He assists with archive preservation at the Wake Forest University library in Winston-Salem, N.C.
