Mr. Melvin Rushing and Ms. Marcia Boyd of Statesboro are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Charlotte Rushing, to Matthew Brian Paige, son of Mr. Ronnie Paige of Augusta and Ms. Linda Peebles of Swainsboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Colon and Mrs. Lillian Zetterower Rushing and the late Mr. Otis and Mrs. Eva Leigh Boyd, all of Statesboro. Miss Rushing is a 2003 graduate of Statesboro High School and currently attends Augusta State University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Bobby Peebles and the late Mrs. Bonnie Peebles of Swainsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Racket Paige of Summertown. He is a 2000 graduate of Swainsboro High School and a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in 2005, and a Master’s of Business Administration in 2007. He is employed with Wachovia Bank in Augusta.
The wedding ceremony will be held on August 2, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Pittman Park United Methodist Church in Statesboro with a reception to follow at the Statesboro Inn.
