Tara Elizabeth Langley Michael Daniel Sumner
    Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Earl Langley III of Blakely announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Elizabeth Langley, to Michael Daniel Sumner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Perry Sumner Jr. of Statesboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald McGriff Jr. of Headland, Ala., Mr. Roscoe Earl Langley Jr. of Cedar Springs, Ga., and Mrs. Edward Jeter of Dothan, Ala. Miss Langley is a 2002 graduate of Early County High School and a 2007 graduate of Valdosta State University, where she received a BA degree in English.
    The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Perry Sumner Sr. of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. James Dooley of Savannah. He is the great-grandson of Mrs. Lillie Mae Boyette of Statesboro. Mr. Sumner is a 2002 graduate of Statesboro High School and attended Valdosta State University. He is currently employed with Sumner Brothers, LLC in Statesboro.
    The wedding will take place on April 18, 2009, at 6 p.m. at Blakely First United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at Quail Country Plantation in Arlington, Ga.
    The couple will reside in Statesboro.
