    Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Griffin Jr. of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Jodie Lee Griffin of Albany, Ga., to Steven David Rouse, son of Mr. and Mrs. David T. Rouse of Albany.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nan Griffin of Savannah and the late W.H. Griffin Sr. and Sybima Hamm of Macon and the late Leonard Hamm. A 1998 honor graduate of Statesboro High School in Statesboro, Miss Griffin graduated from Georgia Southern University, magna cum laude, in 2004 with bachelor of science degrees in Biology and science education. She is employed with the Worth County Board of Education as a science teacher.
    The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry T. Rouse of Sylvester, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Huey Johnson of Sylvester, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Prince of Spindale, N.C., and James B. Ivy and the late Barbara Ivy of Albany. A 1998 honor graduate of Worth County High School, Mr. Rouse graduated from Georgia Southwestern University, magna cum laude, in 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in History education. He is employed with the Worth County Board of Education as a Social Studies teacher.
    The wedding is planned for half past noon, December 16, 2006 at the Historic Mulberry Inn in Savannah.
