The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lannie Ellis of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Don Taylor of Portal. Lannette is a 1990 graduate of Portal High School and is a 1991 graduate of Swainsboro Tech with a degree in Marketing and Management. She is employed with Ellis Family Partnership in Statesboro.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. FA Kirkland Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin C. Williams, all of Millen. He is a 1989 graduate of Jenkins County High School and is employed with MI Metals., Inc. in Millen.
The couple has planned to wed on March 14, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents.
