Mr. and Mrs. Alan G. Boyer of Brooklet announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Beth Boyer of Statesboro, to David Michael Owen, son of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Owen Jr. of Kernersville, N.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Irma G. Boyer of Atlanta and the late Donald B. Boyer and the late Mr. and Mrs. James L. Buchanan Sr. of Dallas, Ga. She is a 2003 honor graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. She will graduate from Georgia Southern University in May 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Linda Owen of Vero Beach, Fla., and the late William L. Owen Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Malinowski of Media, Pa., and Nancy Barrows of North Palm Beach, Fla. He is a 2002 graduate of Roswell High School. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in May 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He is currently employed as a logistics load manager for Wal-Mart’s Southeast Regional Operations Center in Laurens, S.C.
The couple has planned to wed on July 7, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. at the Brooklet United Methodist Church.
