Therapy dog Wicked elicits a big smile from Cameron Sims, 15, during Friday's Olympic Games. Members of the local Therapy Dogs International chapter were among the many volunteers present at the event.
Some very special kids participated in Bulloch County's Spring Special Olympics on Friday at the Statesboro High School Stadium. Opening ceremonies kicked off the event at 9 a.m. and featured Georgia Southern University football head coach Willie Fritz and members of the Eagles football team. The annual games not only are fun and rewarding for the amazing kids who participate, but they also provide a great opportunity for community members to get involved.
