Few people have used their businesses for the betterment of their community to the degree Gary Davis has with his six Bulloch County Subway locations. In the past 15 years, Gary has commissioned the Annual Subway Challenge, which has raised more than $150,000 for the benefit of local charities including March of Dimes, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, Habitat for Humanity, American Diabetes Association, Ogeechee Area Hospice, Humane Society, Josephs Home for Boys, Fostering Families of Bulloch and the United Way. Gary has been generous with his financial gifts and gifts-in-kind to many other local events that are too numerous to mention them all. Gary received the 2005 Small Business of the Year award from the Chamber of Commerce and was named College of Business Alumnus of the Year for 2007.
