Fourth through 12th grade students gathered at the Georgia Southern University Shooting Sports Education Center this week for the annual archery camp.
The camp is designed to help archers hone their existing skills, and introduce the concepts of the National Training System (NTS) to archers with archery experience. Campers received instruction on form, shooting fundamentals, mental focus and more, all designed to help them get a head start on tournament preparation.
In addition to instruction, students had the opportunity to take part in swimming and rock climbing activities at the Recreation Activity Center, and meet other archers from throughout the Southeast.
An outdoor archery day camp is planned for this week, as well as an additional day camp July 17-21.
